Ski & Ride Background Story

This exceptional ski and snowboard event was once associated with Hope on the Slope with multiple ski resorts across the country hosting the 24-hour fundraiser to support cancer resarch.

In 2021, Ski & Ride for a Cure was formed as an offshoot to Hope on the Slope to benefit local nonprofit organizations serving local communities. Event proceeds benefit two nonprofits providing direct assistance to individuals and families impacted by cancer.

  • Seeds of Hope helps families, with children under the age of 18, who have been sidelined by cancer or a life-threatening illness.
  • Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation helps pay household bills for cancer patients in treatment.

Participants register and fundraise to meet individual and team fundraising goals for the two-day event at Mt Hood Skibowl.

Our 2026 Fundraising Goal is $30,000
